Wonderful to be in contact with you. I read your profile, and felt a kinship with you regarding living as a contemplative in the world. Regarding my pilgrimage to Spain, yes I'm going alone (something that seems more daunting as my departure date approaches!), but I felt drawn to walk the Camino of Santiago. I hope it will be a chance to leave much of what doesn't work in my life anymore behind, and to embrace a more "real" approach to my life, spirituality and relationships. Plus I need to lose a bit of weight lol!. I will be leaving mid July and returning end of August. Please pray for me.

On your mention, i am looking into the contempetive outreach website of Fr. Keating. Looks interesting, even a few E-courses. I don't have much experience in this. Actually i don't have much experience sitting still long enough to contemplate!

 

 

Good evening, Laura.  I'm glad we will be friends.  Your surname is most appropriate.  So you have a tabby; any other cohabiters?  My little kitty (well, he weighs in at 13 pounds but he is shorter than I am) is my sole/soul companion in the humble little place we call a hermitage.  I look forward to sharing more with you in the days ahead.  Meanwhile,  God bless you and may He keep you in the palm of His hand, always.
